Dear Colleague,

We are a few dozens of professional artists whose main or unique subject of inspiration is underwater world.
We probably are all divers.
We all sell our work either directly, or through galleries, and even some on Internet, with more or less luck.
I personally do a very nice living out of the work. I do not complain, but as probably most of us, I always wish a bit more, which seems to be within the human nature!
Few facts puzzled me, and probably you as well:
Concerning divers: their passion for this activity and the complete lack of exposure of UW art in dive magazines, many shows …
Concerning general public: the difficulty for us to get in touch with galleries if not by relations
And generally, the cost and time involved in promotion

So, recently, I turned up with the idea that joining some efforts together in a kind of Net,  Association or Society would provide us with more resources for a better exposure in this wide world.
Few examples:
- Writings and ads in magazines
- Nice art booths in important dive shows
- Better efficiency of our websites
- Galleries connections
- Common art agent and/or representative
- And why not one day run specialized galleries in major cities
If there are few very famous artists with a good sense of business, I am pretty sure that most of us are individuals with more artistic than marketing ability.
Together, we could do far better.
We are not competitors as far we all of us have a different approach of our subject.
What would you think about the creation of an UNDERWATER WORLD ART NET?
Whatever I know that not half of you will pay attention to this email and answer me, it was worth to try!
